We have all been in that situation where, you’re walking down the hall talking to your friends on your way to class, when suddenly it hits you. It hits you harder than the bus that hit Regina George. The funk in the hallway. Sweetheart, that’s the smell of puberty. The aroma of oversprayed Axe, sweat, and body odor mixed together. It has happened to all of us. It isn't pleasant. That’s why I'm here.

Tip #1: Wear deodorant (this is not an option):

First things first, find out if you need deodorant or antiperspirant. If you sweat a lot and there is no odor, then use antiperspirant. Ifyou don't really sweat, then deodorant is the choice. Also if you smell and sweat, then use both. For men, I recommend Old Spice and Axe. For women, I recommend Secret and Dove. Do the people around you a favor and wear deodorant.

Tip #2--Less is More:

Spraying tons of perfume/Axe to cover up your bodily odor will not make it smell better; in fact, it will make it smell worse. Less is more! Wear less perfume so when you walk past people, they get a small sniff instead of knocking them down with how much perfume your wearing.

Tip #3--Brush your teeth (duh):

This is pretty obvious. Not only is it important that you brush your teeth, but you also have to brush your tongue to remove odors that can cause your breath to stink. It also never hurts to carry around gum or mints because you never know when your gonna need it or when the people around you will. I recommend Crest or Colgate for those pearly whites.

Tip #4--Be presentable:

You don't have to go all out for school, sweetheart, but you should at least be presentable. It never hurts to take a look in the mirror before leaving the house. Check for eye crust, dried drool, boogers, and any other things that somehow got on your face during the night.

Tip #5--Keep the grease back in the 50’s and not in your hair:

Using shampoo and conditioner is necessary in life. While washing your hair everyday can damage it, you should at least wash it twice a week. For the days that you can’t wash your hair, dry shampoo does wonders. Use a separate shampoo and conditioner, the two-in ones may get you through for a while but it does not take the place of a conditioner. Using a deep conditioner helps hair become healthier. For shampoos and conditioners, I recommend Pantene and Dove for men. For women, I recommend any of the Pantene series and any of the Organix hair series, especially the Moroccan Argan Oil series.

Stay Fabulous

xoxo,
