Fear
Have you ever felt fear embedded in your soul
As it swarms around inside you taking over as a whole
It stabs through your soul slowly killing you and eventually limiting your life
You’ll never know how bravery feels when it spreads through your insides
It takes you over and bullies you out of taking so many chances
It doesn’t let you feel or act you just dream of all the romantics
You’ll never be one so you just watch from a distance, observe
That’s what the fear does it won’t let your thoughts change or curve
You can’t be the hero or the one who saves the day
We already have the popular kids for that don’t take their fame.
Just stay quiet put away your books and softly close the locker
Leave loudness to the cool kids they can slam doors way better
It wants to consume you and take you over it wants to keep you confined
In your bubble that you think protects you from the world’s crimes
It’s not trying to protect you or keep you from danger
It simply is a burden that lets you rot in despair
You don’t interact you don’t help
You just sit back to afraid to talk or yell
You let things happen to others whether they are good or bad
Because you never really learned how to help or interact
The fear will soar polluting your mind
You’ll always know what you will find
Behind your hopes behind your dreams
You can only focus on the way the fear gleams
It’s like an addiction to drugs that you’re unable to shake
It determines your future and won’t allow you to write your own fate
So don’t drown in your tears my friend because you wrote this destiny so this defeat was all you
You let the fear win the battle because you filled yourself with doubt and the thought you’d lose
Please I beg you don’t let the fear take over
Or else you’ll end up like me a girl with invisible chains all over
