Taking Criticism

Hello lovelies,
It’s been forever! I'm sorry my loyal darlings, but I've been caught up doing activities like the school play, working on details for my comic and just drawing more and more (it's becoming an addiction. I should really get help). In wonderful and surprising news, I was chosen to do the cast shirts for the play, which I cried upon viewing for the first time. I would love to shout out Mrs. Granniss and Ms. Herman for not only giving me the opportunity to have one of my drawings on a shirt, but also surprising me with the fact they put the same design on the play books which were handed out at the play, and yes there were tears involved when I saw both of the shirt and the play books.
I’m could ramble on all day how happy I was, so let's get into today's topic: handling criticism. Oh boy this has been long awaited. People who can't handle criticism make me cringe, because I know I can be the same way sometimes. It's hard to accept that something you drew may not look as good as you thought, especially in art. I cringe at my past sketchbooks because I think they're so bad, but that’s just because I was still getting comfortable with drawing in my style.
If you can't handle criticism then you should step back, take a deep breath and accept what they say, because if you don't you're gonna be one sad panda and never improve. You might say, Suki what's worse than someone who can't take criticism, and that, my lovelies, is someone who thinks they are so much better than everyone that they can say whatever they want but can't take a lick of criticism themselves. There is an artist who is decently known especially in bad webcomic territory (I will not reveal their name), but this person has been caught tracing over animation and passing it off as their own, bullying other artists and even their fans. They also will block you on any social media platform if you send them any sort of criticism towards their work. Some others and I are now reviewing their webcomic and due to their lack of criticism acceptance, this persons art has began to deteriorate to the point that only the colors are the only thing good about their art and a lot of the time their characters color pallets can range from rainbow barf neon dance party or plain and boring.
DO NOT be like this person. Accept all the criticism you receive because it can seriously help you improve. I know it's helped me improve.
