The Dove
The serene dove descended from the sky
And encountered others nice and kind
Elegantly it traversed the town
It lived with crows that had family in a place full of fear
Where there was war and things weren’t at all fair
They wanted a home where it wanted a home where they wouldn’t shed a tear
There the dove’s home was sedate
There freely it explored the land
There the dove welcomed crows trying to relocate
These crows came from a place tense with sorrow
Where death was like nothing and life a horror
They never knew if they would ever see tomorrow
More and more of these crows came
The doves had no room to stay
The crows kicked them out, leaving no place to claim
The dove flew and flew in search of a home
But none was to be found as good as its own
Nothing was as nice after a while of having to roam
The dove then came back for its natural right
It asked nicely for its land but crows rejected with might
Leaving no option for the dove but to put up a fight
The crows won after a short, deadly quarrel
Sending the dove to a cramped, useless realm
This, thought the dove, is not kind but immoral
The dove continued to try and rebel
Then met new doves who tried the same as well
They also had the same story to tell
The doves were oppressed
They wanted their home and land
It was their right to own and possess
The war went on and doves were killed
By the crows who did it for thrill
Who caused the life of a dove unfulfilled
The dove was crammed with none hearing its call
Completely separated from the crows by a wall
When the dove returned to its home it felt very small
The doves were hated and had no rights
One by one they were killed and out of sight
But they still try, but barely resist and fight
When will the crows return the land?
The dove is mad and tries to confront the situation at hand
The dove plans to do something daring and grand
It flies over the wall and to home it dared to go
But on the way it is killed by the evil crows
The dove had no voice and lost tomorrow
